TeeRoy's 2 Cents:
1,600 people have been shot in Chicago this year alone, including 260 fatalities.
Shootings are up 56 percent compared to two years ago.
It's not just Chicago. Shootings are up all over the country.
The shooting occurred at a home just before 6 a.m. and police do not yet have a suspect in custody. Investigators believe a group of people got into an argument before the shooting. Four victims were found found dead at the scene. Four others were taken to the hospital and two of them are in critical condition.
Today's mass shooting is the third in Chicago's South Side in the past two weeks. A shooting in the neighborhood on Saturday left one person dead at 10 others injured. (Chicago Tribune)
