Tekashi was booked in Palm Beach County on charges of failure to appear, but was released three hours later after posting a $2,000 bond.
In Florida, failing to appear in court is punishable by fines or imprisonment, depending on the case. American Express sent out subpoenas to take money from his bank accounts to pay for $120K in unpaid fees.
For now Tekashi is free on bond.
Earlier this year, the father and son who were recorded beating and robbing Tekashi 6ix9ine were released from jail!
Rafael Medina Jr. and his son Octavius Medina have been released on house arrest in Palm Beach County. Rafael was released on a $52K bond while Octavius is out on a $22K surety bond. Co-defendant, Anthony Maldonado, signed a $22K surety bond, but remans in custody at Palm Beach County’s Main Detention Center.
All three have been charged with battery and robbery and are slated for court appearances next month. The three were arrested for assaulting Tekashi inside an LA Fitness in Palm Beach County. Tekashi gave a statement to Palm Beach County Sheriff’s, that his attackers took the key fob to his Lambo, Balenciaga sneakers and an iPhone.
As a conditions of release from jail, the three defendants agree to obey all laws, not possess weapons, and appear for scheduled court hearings.
