The Pokémon universe is getting support from some of music's biggest artists to help celebrate the 25th anniversary of the classic series. Post Malone kicked off the celebration back in February with a virtual concert, performing the Pokémon 25 version of "Only Wanna Be With You', in honor of the show's quarter-century commemoration.

Lil Yachty is the latest star to sign on to be apart of the P25 compilation album. On Tuesday, the "One Night" rapper released a statement, sharing his excitement about the project, saying:

“I’ve always been a huge Pokémon fan and I jumped at the opportunity to be on the album. I love the record I did for it called “Believing” and I hope it inspires my fans to chase their dreams."

Tierra Whack, Katy Perry, Vince Staples and J Balvin are also contributing to the special project. Colin Palmer, vice president of marketing for The Pokémon Company International said in a statement,

“P25 Music has been an incredible journey in which we’ve been able to collaborate with so many amazing musicians to help us celebrate 25 years of Pokémon. As we countdown to the launch of Pokémon 25: The Album and the culmination of this yearlong adventure, we’re looking forward to Lil Yachty, Tierra Whack, and Jax Jones joining the party and adding their own unique sounds and fresh takes on Pokémon inspired songs to this celebratory compilation.”

Catch Pokémon 25: The Album when it hits streaming services on October 15. Check out Post Malone's "Only Wanna Be With You (P25 Version)" virtual concert below.
