Atlanta Motor Speedway has announced a plan for people evacuating from the path of Hurricane Dorian. The speedway is now open as a place for people that want to camp out until the major hurricane is no longer a threat.
We are still a couple days from the predicted landfall, but Georgia is ready to take in evacuees. According to the Georgia State Patrol, they have numerous troopers staged along interstates out of Florida to help evacuees.
This isn't the first time Atlanta Motor Speedway took in people during a hurricane. Back in 2017, the speedway was home to over 100 campers.
