TORY LANEZ: Prosecutors Want 13 Year Sentence

Tory Lanez will spend over a decade behind bars if prosecutors get their way.

A sentencing memorandum currently circulating shows that feds are arguing Tory perpetuated a “campaign of misinformation” via his music and social media posts which “re-traumatized Megan” ahead of her December 2022 trial. They also cite Lanez's alleged “unprovoked attack” on August Alsina at a comedy show in Chicago last September. Taking all of this into consideration, plus previous arguments that Tory “demonstrated a high level of callousness” and “high degree of indifference for human life” in and after the shooting. 

The legal brief makes the point that “Words have power and the pen is oftentimes mightier than the sword. In this case, Daystar Peterson used both… Not content to have hurt the victim by use of his sword (gun), he also used his pen. His online posts for nearly three years have re-traumatized the victim. [in front of an audience of millions]” 

Prosecutors want to see Tory get at least 13 years, and argue that he should be found ineligible for probation, arguing his conduct online and elsewhere have shown him “incapable of supervision” and failure to “exhibit any remorse” which is being called “insidious.”
