Kendrick Lamar broke Drake’s tour record!

His Big Steppers Tour, pulled in over $100 million in revenue, and is now the high-grossing tour by a rapper, having earned $110.9 million.

The Big Steppers Tour followed Kendrick’s fifth album Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers, with support from Baby Keem and Tanna Leone, and actress Helen Mirren serving as the narrator. Kendrick’s $110.9 million put him ahead of Drake and Migos, as Tyler The Creator‘s Call Me If You Get Lost Tour became the highest-grossing Hip Hop tour in the post-pandemic era.

That tour pulled in $32.6 million, eclipsing J. Cole, and Omarion, Bow Wow, Soulja Boy, Ashanti, Pretty Ricky and Ying Yang Twins’ Millennium Tour.

Kendrick Lamar dropped a 6-minute short film called “We Cry Together,” inspired by the single from Kendrick Lamar‘s Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers.

The film We Cry Together, stars Taylour Paige and Kendrick Lamar, in an account of one couple’s domestic lives. The short film, which was directed by Jake Schreier, Dave Free, and Kendrick Lamar and includes photography by Adam Newport-Berra. It was shot in 2020 in a single take with live vocals.

The album is Lamar’s last on Top Dawg Entertainment, and features the single “The Heart Pt. 5,” which dropped with the trending video of the face morphing of Lamar into Kanye West, Nipsey Hussle, and Will Smith.

Mr. Morale and The Big Steppers is a double album featuring Kodak Black, Blxst, Summer Walker, Taylour Paige, Sampha, Baby Keem, Ghostface Killah, Amanda Reifer, Sam Dew, Beth Gibbons, and Tanna Leone, and features production from Boi-1da, Soundwave, The Alchemist, Dahi, DJ Khalil, Cardo, and Pharrell.

In the video for 'The Heart Part 5 Kendrick talks about the culture, going through different scenarios and faces of celebs including Will Smith, Kanye West and Jussie Smollett.

He also features O.J. Simpson while bringing up a "bulletproof Rover," and eventually, his face becomes Will Smith. He also morphs into Kobe Bryant and Nipsey Hussle.
