Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf Endorses Meek Mill's Prison Release

Meek Mill is continuing to get major support from people in high places who agree that the rapper should be released from prison

Meek has already been locked up for the past few months after Judge Genece Brinkley controversially placed him back behind bars for two to four years for probation violation, which stemmed from a case from years ago when Meek was much younger. Now, the governor of Pennsylvania says that the MC should be released, too. This announcement comes after District Attorney Larry Krasner said that Meek could be let out very soon.

On Twitter, Governor Tom Wolf said: "I support D.A. Larry Krasner’s position in the case of Robert Williams (Meek Mill). Our criminal justice system is in need of repair. That’s why my admin has made efforts to invest in programs that divert individuals from the system, improve public safety, and promote fairness." See that message below.

TMZ reports: "Meek's attorney, Joe Tacopina, tells TMZ ... they're grateful for Gov. Wolf's support, and can't understand why Judge Brinkley has yet to rule on their motions.

"Tacopina adds, 'Never in my career have I ever seen a Governor and District Attorney publicly state that a defendant should be granted bail, yet Meek still remains wrongfully imprisoned.'"

In other words, let's speed up the process, folks!
