Five people were injured Monday evening when shots rang out in front of Uptown Baptist Church at the intersection of Wilson and Sheridan. 

Reports confirm that a white sedan drove through the intersection and someone inside the car pulled a semi-automatic weapon and fired at least 20 shots. 

Police believe the shooting was the result of conflicting gangs. 

Currently, one victim is on life support after being shot in the head.
